Johnnie Walker and Diageo support reforestation of affected areas in Cyprus

3,000 trees were planted in Cyprus as part of the ‘Keep Growing’ reforestation initiative, with the support of the local community and volunteers.

The “Keep Growing” program by Johnnie Walker Black Label & Diageo, in collaboration with PPD Global, was successfully completed through a symbolic yet meaningful reforestation action aimed at restoring the areas affected by the fires from 2025 in Cyprus.

On April 19, a tree-planting event took place in the village of Lofou. Employees and partners of PPD Global, as well as local residents and volunteers, joined forces to help restore the area’s forest environment.

Reforestation Impact

3,000 trees were planted, helping to enhance biodiversity and gradually restore the area’s natural environment.

The program was implemented in collaboration with the voluntary organisation YouReForest Cyprus.

Through targeted campaigns in supermarkets and partner cocktail bars and pubs across Cyprus, the public had the opportunity to play an active part in the program.

More exactly, for every bottle of Johnnie Walker Black Label purchased from Athienitis, Smart, MAS, Ioannides and Metro supermarkets, as well as for every Black Label-based cocktail ordered at participating cocktail bars and pubs, Johnnie Walker donated 3 euros towards the planting of a tree.

• Limassol: Trippers, Cinema, and Sherlock’s
• Larnaca: Noesis, Savino, Old Market, and Tachydromio
• Famagusta: Liquid and Mouseio Kafeneio
