PPD Global installs solar panels at its headquarters

PPD Global, a member of the Photos Photiades Group and a leading distributor of premium beverage brands, has completed the installation of a new solar panels system at its headquarters in Nicosia, Cyprus. This project marks an important milestone in advancing the company’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda.

By investing in renewable energy, PPD Global continues to strengthen its long-term commitment to sustainable business operations, carbon reduction, and environmental stewardship across Central and Southeastern Europe.

Accelerating Green Impact with Solar Panels

The newly operational solar power system at the Nicosia headquarters features a total installed capacity of 99 kWp. Designed to optimize energy efficiency, the installation is projected to reduce the facility’s annual carbon dioxide emissions by up to 55 tons, an environmental impact equivalent to planting over 1,400 trees each year. The system is expected to generate enough clean electricity to cover more than 50% of the headquarters’ total energy requirements.

This accomplishment aligns directly with PPD Global’s broader regional sustainability roadmap, which includes ongoing investments in photovoltaic technology across its key distribution hubs, notably in Romania. PPD Global has invested 500,000 euro in equipping its logistics center in Bucharest with solar panels. The total installed power is 405 kWp. 

By scaling solar power solutions across both its corporate headquarters and its warehouse in Romania, PPD Global actively decreases operational overhead while setting an actionable benchmark for sustainable practices within the premium beverage distribution sector.
